Take that Leap!

Ahhh.. our comfort zone. It can be the most cozy place, can't it? Our comfort zone is predictable and safe. Overall, we are happy there.  However, it can be a dangerous place because we don't do much growing in our comfort zone. If we aren't careful we can fall into a place that feels like a rut. Our life may become stagnant with us completely unaware. I've spent the majority of my life in the safety net of my comfort zone. Unless I was forced out, I was happy staying exactly where I was. I was living a mediocre life, and if I was honest, I'd have to admit I knew I was missing something, something Big. I simply never did anything about it. It wasn't until the day that I was staring at myself in the mirror, completely miserable with who I was on the inside and out that I knew something had to change. I needed something big to transform my life. My transformation wasn't an overnight event. I didn't wake up one morning with it all figured out, it took weeks, months, even years for me to figure it all out, to put the pieces together. While I was focusing on my outside transformation God was doing something even more amazing inside my heart. On my journey to a healthier happier me, I found Jesus. I mean Truly found him, heart changing, found him! BUT, it took me stepping outside of my comfort zone and leaning on him to achieve it.

Here's the thing, God doesn't intend for us to lead a mediocre life! He wants to do great things THROUGH you and FOR you. He wants you to live this amazing life, where you achieve the desires of your heart. You just have to be brave enough to take those steps. The Bible tells us "
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9  We are told we don't have to be scared, we don't have to stay within our comfort zone. We can get out there, try new things and open up the opportunity to live a life that is fulfilling. Often times we never succeed with our health and fitness goals because we aren't willing to try new things. We keep doing the same things over and over expecting to get different results. If you want something different, you have to do something different! In 1 Timothy 1:7 it says "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.' You can do this! You can achieve the desires of the heart, but you have to be willing to work for it. You have to be willing to make yourself uncomfortable, step out in faith and  trust that God will catch you when you fall. He will pick you up and put you back on your feet. We were not designed to live in fear, we were designed to live a life of power, love, and self control! Isn't that amazing?! Now, go tap into that and make a plan for yourself. How are you going to take that leap and leave your mediocre life behind? What can God do in your life? Trust me... if you trust HIM, you won't be disappointed.
